My Summer So far and what I plan to do with the rest of it...

So, I had originally written an entire Camp Jones Gulch detailed post about everything that went down. But perhaps it was a little bit too detailed. So i decided to trash it and start fresh! I'm definitely not going to write as much detail as i did. Ill just write the highlights. Monday we went and did this ropes course. I had to jump off a diving board that was hooked into a tree 60 feet up in the air. I know it doesnt sound that high, but trust me, once your up there it seems pretty high... Tuesday we had to sleep outside in a place called Indian Bowl where they had the horses. So there was horse poop everywhere (thank god it wasnt fresh...) but ya, that wasnt a good highlight, but it was the biggest event that happened tuesday. Wednesday there was a dance. Did i have a date? Yes i did. Thursday, nothing to exciting happened we just hung out. OH we had an honor campfire that night where every cabin makes something special and does it in front of the whole camp. My cabin wrote 4 different haikus and read them aloud. Friday was pick up day! So everyone got to go home after saying goodbye to there beloved camp friends of course! There were foreign people there. Most of them were from spain. Only one that i know of was from Italy. I befriended one Spaniard and i just admired the rest pretty much. My Spanish was to crude to actually go up and try to have a conversation... so i just avoided that awkward situation from the beginning. Well those are my camp highlights. I, of course, thoroughly enjoyed myself and am going to go back next year as an LIT (leader in training). I am super excited and it really is something to have friends at camp and friends at home. Well thats really all ive got to say on the subject of camp. So yaaa...

I guess this is as good a time as any to be deep, as Napoleon Hill once said, "Don't wait. The time will never be just right." SO ANYWAYS... I dunno. I sometimes like to do my own thing. But sometimes I like going with the flow and doing what other people do. This summer though, I've been focusing on finding... identity I guess you could say. What makes me, well, me. What makes me different from everyone around me. I've also been focusing on how I want to be perceived by other people. If I even care what they think. If I'm going to let other people opinions stand in my way or if i'm just going to barge right though them and continue on with what i'm doing. With what makes me happy or feel good about myself. (I know what i'd like to think and do and say. But will I? Everything is always so different when your in the face of the actual situation.) I guess what i'm trying to say is that I want to be more individual. Less cookie cutter. Because basically the epitome of Middle School life is what everyone else is doing and fitting in. Now that i'm going into high school, I want to start with my image fresh, me, and self confident. I mean I know I'll make mistakes along the way, and it'll take me more than this summer to figure out who i am and all this, but its a start. I found a quote the other day about confidence so here it is: "Confidence comes not from always being right, but not fearing to be wrong." So I guess that helped me as much as a 13 worded sentence can. By the way, the author is unknown. So anyways, I just want to find things for myself. I'm an artistic person so I want my environment to reflect that, I want to reflect that. Well anyways I guess i'm done with that sort of deepness for now.

So I decided to use the Zemanta gadget for all my posts. At first i didnt really like it, but now i'm getting used to it. But I still feel like I could've done without it. Well OH WELL! I also haven't figured out how to add a second image to this thing... It always puts it up at the top... and I dunno the whole Zemanta thing is kind of annoying me right now... Plus im not totally sure if you can put in videos???

So I read this book called If I Stay by Gayle Forman. It was a really good book and I really liked how the entire family was so musically inclined. So I decided to look up some of the music that was mentioned. (The author had a glossary type section in the back detailing all the music she had mentioned in the book.) So anyways as i said, i went on itunes to listen to some. Well I found this really cool Icelandic band! They're called Sigur Ros. They are an alternative group and they started in 1994. Although they've decided to take an indefinite hiatus... I still like them. Their songs are in the language of Iceland... not sure what that is, but i'll look it up on good ol' Google. Ok, so. Its a North Germanic language, and its closest relative is Faroese(?). Well anyways, you should check them out because they are good! You should also read the book because it was good too. It made me tear up and almost cry. It was that good. So ya, I hope you check them out!

Wel I think thats all I've got for this post. So I'll leave you with my interesting facts. Well, I'm running out... so i've only got eight left... So i need to find something else to do to end this... well here it goes!

Hey! Ok so I am finally home, well actually i have been since saturday, but im just now getting around to blogging. Its always been to late for me to start a post by the time i have time ive got time or even feel like posting. Sorry. So ya. We successfully got to and from florida with ZERO glitches on flying :) which was good :) so go Southwest!! But ya, the sunshine state was NOT as sunshiney as i thought it was gunna be. But thats ok. So i didnt really get my tan... But it was a fun trip :)



So today i had my first tennis match. I played doubles. I felt really bad for my parter because i did really bad. But he was nice about it. So that made me feel a little better at totally sucking. The final score was 7-2. We lost. But oh welll...

My happiness was short lived alst week when i thought i finally figured out how to add a link to this blog... but then i didnt do it right... and im still not sure how the hek to do it. So yaaa... sorry about that. I really wish i could figure it out. But its not working... SAD FACE!



I'm trying to make this more interactive and fun looking to an outsider haha by putting pictures on it... I hope it works... the pictures are kind of random... oh well...

So I FINALLY found a good book. Well DID. Cuz i already read TWO of them. in two days. See thats the problem. When i get a good book i just cant stop reading it and then i finish it really fast and then have nothing else to read... which sucks. But ya they're a series. Its called The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games is the first one, the second is called Catching Fire. I definitely recommend reading them :)





They're going to make a movie out of it! Which makes me really excited :):) Lionsgate bought the rights to it. The author Suzanne Collins is going to right the screen play for it. That must be good cuz then maybe they wont leave so much out. I know who i want my characters to be :)

So next week I go to SUMMER CAMP at Camp Jones Gulch :) I hope that its fun!! Like last year. So im pretty sure it will be. And i hope that at least SOME of my friends will be there. But im pretty sure they will be because ive talked to a few of them. Ugh. I havent even unpacked from Florida and now i have to unpack and repack for Camp... which really sucks. I leave sunday. Crap... Oh well! haha itll be cool :)

So i am kind of bored with the way my blog looks like, but im not sure how to make it so its not all column-ee and so that it goes the whole page instead of just some of it... but im still tryin to fix that :) haha so yaaa.... and i dont really like the name anymore, its kind of boring and not very attention grabbie cuz i know the way i choose to look at blogs is by the title. Same way i choose which books to read :) I know, im sooo discriminatory against books....

This week has kind of been boring since thursday cuz my two BEST FRIENDS went to CASTA RICA!! I wanted to go... but my parents just didnt have it in them... Mula... :/ oh wellll maybe some other time? i think yes :) There are only 37 days of summer left!!! Agh :( that makes me sad :( but i am SUPER excited for High School. GO BELLA VISTA! Broncos rock and red and black are like my favorite colors :):) (which are Bella Vista colors) So for high school my mom wants me to do this thing called Fair Oaks Youth Advisory Board. FOYAB for short. Its like where teens get to help the community and put on fundraisers and stuff like that to help the community. I'm doing it with my friend hannah. I really hope its fun. But i dunno... Im filling out the application now even though its not due til SEPTEMBER! My mom is making me start now. But i guess its a good idea that way i dont have to think about it once school has started cuz ill probably have other homework and projects to focus on. Besides not getting lost on my way to my next class... thats probably the worse thing! haha hopefully that wont happen... Although knowing me, i probably will get lost. Well actually there's an orientation a week before school and they give us time to walk around campus to find all our classes. So i will most definitely be doing that. I hope the teachers are nice :) and not lazy mean or annoying like some of them were at Churchill.... (names shall not be mentioned here) haha.

GUESS WHAT! haha i think i finally figured out how to add a link and have it actually show up! To bad i dont have anyhting to share with a link... hhmmm well maybe i can find something.... So i guess Crystal Boewrsocks got a cosmetic make over kind of thing? hhmmm well check it out (oh god i hope this works haah)

Well anyways i really hope that works because the ones i actually found interesting in the past NEVER worked... hhmmm maybe i can go back and fix them.. yess... i think i will.... :)

So today was my last day in Florida :) we are coming home tomorrowwww :D Dont get me wrong, Florida is cool and all but I AM SO READY TO GO BACK TO CALIFORNIA!!! I am so done with all the humidity haha but yaaa it was a good time though :) went on an airboat ride, drove a road full of alligators, went shopping at the mall, did a segway tour (they retail for like 600 thousand bucks!! its ridiculous man! haha)
went on a boat called the Double Decker Sunshine or something like that and saw dolphins, then went to 5th avenue in downtown Naples to shop with my mom! :) so yaa the past few days have actually been filled with SOMETHING instead of me sittin gin the condo on my lazy butt writing this blog haha JKJKJKJK but ya.

So I saw Eclipse last night. It was BY FAR the best twilight movie so far. The acting and CGI continues to get better with each movie. I think the acting is also getting better and there seems to be more dialogue... the one thing i really did NOT like i show they changed Victoria. I mean everyone was already so used to Rachelle LeFerve but they put in Bryce Dallas Howard. I mean dont get me wrong, by all means she did a wonderful job, but i still would have liked to have seen Rachelle in it. But OH WELL... So i went to the theatre with my parents to watch this movie. And lets just say... it was quite embarrassing... :S So this all happened once the lights went down and after the pre previews had been on. ok so... FIRST my mother proceeds to drop he glasses down into the crevice between the seat in front of her and the little raised platform to make our row taller than the one in front of us. So after my dad brings in a person with a flashlight to get the glasses and once everyone is settled back down again my mom pulls out the bag.... of potato chips.... she had in her purse... :/ They weren't open so then my FATHER proceeded to OPEN the bag of POTATO CHIPS in the MIDDLE of the QUIET theatre. !!!! Lets just say the people in front of us moved after that. I took the bag of chips and put them off to the side where neither parent could reach them haha. it was PRETTY embarrassing. Lets just say im not letting THEM bring chips EVER again! :/ haha

I've been inspired by uninspiring things...

So lately I've been on this... inspiration kick i guess you could call it. My pen is just totally connecting with the paper these days (yes im old fashioned i still write things on paper... wow! :O haha) So anyways my inspiration started out all fine and dandy but then it decided it wanted to get... difficult. I dunno. Anger is just such an emotion that i never thought could have instigated such things from my mind. haha DONT WORRY! nothing inappropriate haha. but i dunno maybe its not anger im feeling. mostly confusion. Wow i need to get my emotions straight here haha i sound pathetic dont I? But yaa... i dunno its just weird how the same thing can make you feel so good and so happy and then in the blink of an eye your down in the dumps and are just thinking what the heck just happened? haha

Weellllll moving onnnnn... sorry i havent been blogging so much. Ive been on my trip in Floridaaa! :D haha last weekend was the fourth of july and my family and i spent it in Miami. It was a lot of fun. Except for the fact that my mom is convinced that i can speak perfect spanish. :/ So she told all the hotel cleaning ladies i speak spanish. So they would start talking really fast in spanish to me and i could only catch a few words here and there. Mostly i just nodded and smiled and continued walking. Plus my mom just could NOT get it straight!! Hija!!! not hermosa hermana or hermano! HIJA!!! hahaha or MIJA! one of the two would have been fine. but noooo she was stuck on hermosa. Please... thats a type of drink! hahaha oh wellll... We went to the beach as well. Must say, its not as cool as i thought it would be. South beach was hecka crowded so we went to north beach and yaaa... right now im in Naples Florida haha so yaa today we went on an airboat tour and saw a bunch of alligators... it was funn :)

Im really not sure what else to write about other then the fact that i watched Vienna and Jake on the bachelorette the other night. I must say as much as im not a big fan of vienna i think that im on her side in this... (this is history here people haha jk )

Alsoooo Eclipse has been out for a week now and i still have not seen it. I hope its good. Who knows though. Ive read mixed reviews. And ive heard mixed reviews from my frienddddsss...

Well i havent got much to blog about. My vacation hasnt been all that it seemed to be before i left... so im sorry that was a fall through. And i know i havent been doing the 10 facts thingy but i swear. Once i get home ill start doing it again. I gotta do things quickly here haha plus i left the paper at home and if i looked it up on the internet it would be to much work to figure out the ones i already said... so ya... i know, im lazyy haha sorryyy well im gunna keep trying to do well with this! haha ok well i STILL havent found anything good to end this with other than.....
