Just a little something I wrote for my English class on how being so short oppresses me, I thought it was funny and so I decided to post it on here! Not sure if it really "oppresses" me (that might be stretching it a little), but it's certainly a subject I feel passionately about. Anyways, enjoy!
Going through school I have been faced with many challenges. As I get older people around me get taller and taller. How do I feel? Like I'm getting smaller and smaller! Students whom I used to look eye level with now tower over me and I must crane my neck to simply see their faces! Not only does this cause long term neck problems, but people also think it's funny to make fun of me! This is now a self-confidence issue. Feeling oppressed by your peers hits home, especially when everyone thinks you can't go on the kiddie rides at Six Flags... Everyone knows that a legal midget is 4'10 at age 18, am I 18 yet? NO! Am I 4'10? NO! I am 5 feet tall and prrrooouuuddddd of it!
