Hello!
So the first thing i want to say is that I GOT A NEW PHONE! I really needed a new one because my old phone was getting really old and faulty... which i must say annoyed me very much. I also switched from the T-Mobile network/plan/whateveryouwannacallit to the verizon wireless network/plan/whateveryouwannacallit. I like it a lot better because so far I have gotten better coverage with verizon. PLUS i get the internet on my new phone which is so cool because then i can go on the internet whenever i want to! (hello FACEBOOK!) Well anyways it is quite awesome and i am enjoying my new phone thoroughly!
So today i went to a volunteer orientation at the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services because i am going to be a volunteer there. Its for my community service hours, but i think it looks really fun and cool. Although i will only be serving food and its not on site, i think the services they do have ON site look really good and seem VERY helpful. I think it would be a good thing to do! So ya... the orientation was just basically getting to know the place and the services they offer, we didnt do any volunteer work today though. Maybe sometime soon. So ya, thats what i did today.
So you know how in the previous post i said i was doing tennis tryouts this week for my high school, Bella Vista? Well I am, and i am SOOOOO SORE! We have to do not only tennis tryout types of things, but conditioning as well! I am so out of shape and the coach makes us run at LEAST a mile every practice so it is kind of a wake up call as to just how OUT of shape i am! Plus today we got there at 8:30 am (because thats what time the practice starts) and we were walking up and the coach calls to us while looking at her watch, "Its 8:30, You're late! Go run two laps!"
My friend and i just look at each other and so we continue walking up to where the coach is and then she calls, "Come on girls! Put your stuff down and go run two laps! Hurry!!"
so we ran the rest of the way, threw our stuff down and ran onto the track. After we had ran our two laps we come back and she gives us this big long speech about how we shouldnt be late and shes always there at practice on time so we should be too. Luckily we werent that only ones that were "late". But it was still like wha????... Well anyways... moving on...
So I think that i am going to add a quotes section and put quotes that make me feel good and inspire me cuz i just think it might be a fun thing to share. Plus you can kind of see the kind of person i am? I guess in the kind of quotes i like.
So ive never done this before... and im kind of nervous about it but whatever. So I like to write as you obviously know, or i wouldnt have this blog. And so i am going to share an original writte by of course, yours truly! dont be to judgmental... as i was talking about in an earlier post (I believe it was "Ive been inspired by uninspiring things...") well anyways what i was feeling inspired this poem that i wrote and am going to share with you. Its been a while and this poem is fairly recent so when i wrote this most of my feelings had dulled and what not so this is more general then some of the other ones i wrote were. Much more general. Well I hope you enjoy it. Eeekk im nervous... Oh and it hasnt got a title. So ya... suggestions? Leave comments! Ok, so here it goes...
Happiness is always short lived
It comes and goes in a matter of seconds
All you can do is enjoy it while it lasts
And try not to fall to hard when its gone
Happiness is a part of life
And life goes on
No matter how down you are
time can heal almost anything.
So ya, there it is. This is basically what i learned this summer. You should live in the moment. Revel in the happiness or whatever your feeling in that moment. I also learned that life goes on and you have to move on. Time can heal you. I promise. If time can heal me, it can heal you.
Well I hope you enjoyed this blog post, it was kind of something new and special. i dont know how often ill share my originals, but ill probably do it again. Once i can write a good poem to put up. So ya!
The End! :)
